|OCLC Exporting to Aleph setting|
The instructions outlined below are for configuring OCLC’s Connexion Browser (Web) and Connexion Client (PC) software to allow real-time exporting of records into ALEPH. To be successful in downloading, you must use the appropriate “host address” and “port number” for the region of Aleph (server) that you intend to load records. If an export cannot be performed using the information below, please contact the FLVC Help Desk (email@example.com).
Host address = fcsils.falsc.org [Production]

Port = 76XX [Prod and Test]
(where XX is the library’s two-digit number)
Host address = susils.falsc.org [Production]
Host address = susils.test.falsc.org [Test]
Port = 7525 [Prod and Test]
a. Logon using a valid OCLC id and password
b. Click the tab labeled “General” from the options near the top of the page
c. Below the label “General”, you should see options for “News”, “Admin” and “Documentation”, click the option “Admin”
d. Click the “Export Options” link
e. A form will appear for you to complete. Use the following parameters.

h. Select “MARC” as “Flagged Bibliographic Record Export Format”
i. Select “Export to a TCP/IP Connection” as the “Export Destination”
j. “TCP/IP Connection Options” should be the host name and port provide by FALSC (**See above)
k. “TCP/IP Host Settings” leave both options unchecked
l. “TCP/IP Timeouts and Retries”: Timeout: 90, Retries: 3, Delay: 0 [for example]
m. “TCP/IP Local System User Information” leave options unchecked
n. Click “Save My Default” at the bottom of the screen
Configure exporting from Connexion Client (ver 2.10):
a. Open the Connexion Client
b. From the "Tool" menu select "Options"
c. You should see the following screen
d. Click the “Export” tab to display the following screen
e. Click the “Create” button and the “New Export Destination” window should appear
f. Select by clicking the radio button next to “OCLC Gateway Export” and then click the OK button, the following window displays
g. Fill in the Host Name and Port with the appropriate values for FCS or SUS (**See above) and click OK
h. Give a unique name to the “Export Destination” on the next screen and click OK
This should be done on each workstation with the Connexion Client software to allow exporting from OCLC to Aleph.
