PALMM Cataloging Guideline
KBA-01632-M8W7
Question
What are the PALMM Cataloging Guidelines?
Answer
The current guidelines for MARC cataloging of locally digitized resources were drafted by the (now defunct) Cataloging and Access Guidelines for Electronic Resources (CAGER) Committee and are known as the CAGER Guidelines. The CAGER Guidelines are being revised and expanded to include non-MARC metadata by the CAGER Revision Group, a joint working group of the Metadata Subcommittee and the Digital Initiatives Subcommittee (DISC). The CAGER Revision Group posts progress information on their wiki which is open to anyone interested.
