Summary

Schedule of Alert Triggers and Message

Alerts will run on the Aleph server daily between 8am and 11pm.

When the items meet the following criteria, the text alert will be sent to the patron’s mobile phone

number. Overdue and Courtesy alerts are not setup to correspond to the specific overdue and courtesy

notice schedules already established by your library.

Please view the schedule below to determine when an alert will be “triggered”. FLVC will work you

individually to modify messages and schedules to better suit your needs.

- Request Alert:

o Message “Requested Item is available on the hold shelf at (pickup location) until (endhold-date).

o Alert is triggered when either: (1) the Recalled item is returned or (2) the requested

item is delivered and/or returned (discharged) at the pickup location. The patron will

also receive the Arrival Email.

- Overdue Alert:

o Message “You have item(s) that are overdue, they were due on (due date)”

o Alert is triggered one day after the due date.

o *Note: Initially, overdue alerts will only be for Regular loan items. Most regular loan

items are due at midnight. Ex. If the item is due on Monday @ 2359, the alert will be

sent Wednesday morning.

- Courtesy Reminder Alert:

o Message “You have item(s) that will be due on (due date)”

o Alert is triggered 5 days before the due date.

- Booking Reminder Alert: (Available if applicable)

o Message “Your Study Room booking start time is (booking start hour)”

o Alert is triggered one hour before the start of a Study Room Booking.
