The OpenAthens Redirector is a tool that allows you to pop the URL of a page in a resource (such as an article) on the end of a consistent prefix. There are a couple ways to access the link generator and your institution's prefix. You can also email the help desk at help@flvc.org and we can provide you with your prefix information.
Public Link Generator
If you do not have access to the admin area of OpenAthens, you can use the public link generator to create a redirector link: https://go.openathens.net/generate/
OpenAthens Admin Area
The OpenAthens admin area also has a link generator, as well as an option to upload a *.csv or *.txt file with a list of links and have them generated in a batch. To access the admin link generator:
- Log in with your admin account: https://admin.openathens.net/
- Navigate to Resources -> Redirector link generator
- The redireector link generator screen will appear. Your prefix information is in the blue outlined box at the top of the screen.
